What: The University of San Francisco’s Lane Center for Catholic Studies and Social Thought welcomes theology scholar Lisa Fullam for a lecture series on virtue ethics.

Tuesday, July 15, 2014. 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.: “Excellent Sex: Applying Virtue Ethics for Sexual Ethics”

Tuesday, July 22, 2014. 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.: “Reclaiming Virtues: Humility in Teresa of Avila and Ignatius of Loyola”

Why: USF invites distinguished scholars from around the world to discuss Catholic social thought and to advance the scholarship and application of Catholic intellectual tradition in the Church and society.

About: Lisa Fullam is an associate professor of moral theology at Santa Clara University’s Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley. She holds a master of divinity and doctor of theology degree from Harvard Divinity School. Fullam’s research interests include virtue ethics, medical and sexual ethics, the intersection of ethics and spirituality, and Ignatian spirituality.
