University of San Francisco’s Thacher Art Gallery presents artist Tom Killion in “Silent Poetry: Woodcut Prints of the California Landscape by Tom Killion” from August 17 to October 9, 2012.Tom Killion is a Bay Area landscape artist who brings unique California landscapes to life in his Japanese-style woodcut prints. Killion was raised in Mill Valley and shows his appreciation of the California scenery, from Big Sur to the High Sierras, through his beautiful and captivating panoramas. Since the mid 1970's, he has shown his work in a variety of museums including the British Museum in London and the Ansel Adams Gallery in California.
Where: The Thacher Gallery is located in the Gleeson Library/Geschke Center on USF’s main campus, 2130 Fulton Street in San Francisco.
