Description

The University of San Francisco (USF) will host a book talk event featuring John Gehring, author, journalist, and Catholic program director at Faith in Public Life. Gehring is the author of The Francis Effect: A Radical Pope's Challenge to the American Catholic Church. The hour-long event is free and open to the public and will include John Gehring reading from his award-winning book on Pope Francis, participating in a question and answer session with attendees, and close with a book signing.

The Francis Effect analyzes the key trends that shaped the Catholic Church over the past century, and how this unique papacy is impacting both church and secular politics in the United States.
