The San Francisco Cult and Psychotronic Film Society is proud to present a series of November double features combining cult classics with overlooked and outrageous cinematic gems. Each double-feature is $10 for two films, and will be presented in 35mm at the Victoria Theatre at 2961 16th Street in San Francisco.November 9th: SLAUGHTER IN SAN FRANCISCO (1974) at 7pm, THE WARRIORS (1979) at 9pm
SLAUGHTER IN SAN FRANCISCO, shot in early 1970s San Francisco by Hong Kong action director Lo Wei and starring Don Wong, is better known as the first film to feature martial arts star Chuck Norris. THE WARRIORS is a cult classic by director Walter Hill about a New York gang forced to fight their way across desolate 70s New York City to return to their home turf, engaging in battles with a series of gangs that alternate between the cartoonish and the nightmarish.
