Description
Unknown Mortal Orchestra is an example of the strange new narratives in today's music industry. In 2010, a lone single was uploaded to an anonymous Bandcamp page, with no attribution or indication of who may have been responsible for producing it. Subsequently found and shared by music bloggers, the track eventually led to the creation of the name "Unknown Mortal Orchestra," and a popular debut on Fat Possum. Just a few years later, the band has become widely known. UMO is touring on last year's Multi-Love, their third record, and second on Jagjaguwar. (MH)
