Rumor has it that Graham took revenge on San Jose with
this critter. It seems Robert was miffed when his proposed monstrosity
"Bullock with Obelisk on Back" was not accepted by
San Jose. Was it at this point that Graham opted for
Fat Quetzy in lieu of the 30-foot gleaming cast bronze version
he first proposed?
When Quetzalcoatly was unveiled . . . some people actually
applauded.
But there were stunned faces in the crowd as well. And a few
were so unkind as to smirk. The cracked and ill-formed Quetzalcoatl
