Glorious field of scrap metal. I had to stand on the roof of my truck to take this picture. Prodigious piles of metal products rise up to the azure San Jose sky. The metal guts of San Jose, grinding and digesting.

These treasures are protected by deadly strands of concertina barbed-wire. As well they should be. If the wire were not there, I would be sorely tempted to dash in and attempt to haul away one of those yellow dumpsters.
