Description

The UCSC Chamber Singers and Orchestra join forces to present a performance of music inspired by Italian lyricism under the guidance of conductor Nicole Paiement. This program features music by the influential composer, Claudio Monteverdi, who paved the way to the Baroque sounds of J. S. Bach's "Magnificat", a German work filled with Italian influences. Felix Mendelssohn's "Italian Symphony", a work inspired by the colors and atmosphere of Italy, rounds out this program.
