TheatreWorks Silicon Valley kicks off its 2015/2016 season with the World Premiere of Triangle, a new musical with music by Curtis Moore, lyrics by Thomas Mizer, and book by Moore, Mizer, and Joshua Scher, originally developed at the company’s 2012 New Works Festival. In an inspiring journey through time, a high-tech scientist learns that his New York lab was once the site of the 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire, and discovers his mysterious connection to several of its Jewish immigrant victims. In this compelling contemporary musical, parallel romances unfold a century apart, interweaving two star-crossed couples willing to risk everything they have, and believe, for love. Meredith McDonough will direct the all-star cast including: Laura D’Andre, Ross Lekites, Megan McGinnis, Zachary Prince, Sharon Rietkerk, and Rolf Saxon.Triangle was originally developed at the 2012 New Works Festival and has since gone on to be presented at the National Alliance for Musical Theatre’s 24th Annual Festival of New Musicals in October of 2012 and workshopped at Lyric Theatre in Oklahoma City.
