Description
Trebles in Paradise showcases the wide diversity of styles, periods and musical expression available in a top boys chorus. Featuring Ragazzi’s unchanged treble voices in the Full Concert Chorus and Premiere groups, this performance will appeal to boys who might be interested in joining Ragazzi. Some of our classical repertoire will be performed, contrasting with an atmospheric piece aptly named Lightning. Sesere eeye, a traditional Australian fishermen's song from the remote Torres Strait islands, will incorporate choreographed movement. This song was taught to the Sydney Children's Choir who carried it to the Australian Girls Chorus who brought it to Korea to teach to our Ragazzi boys on their summer 2013 tour! In a nod to early vaudeville, the soft-shoe song-and-dance Hats by Hank Beebe will be presented. Just as fun will be a calypso arrangement of Buy me chocolate, arranged by Hawley Ades.More Info
