Nathan & Zach Blaustone make up the electronic duo Blaus. Based in San Francisco, the brothers merge live instrumentation with digital samples to produce music that blends atmospheric house, experimental tech jazz, and hip-hop. They are the sons of a pastor, but born with rebellious minds. Their goal is to blend all arts, to fuse the tangible with the digital, by creating a new sub-genre called “Booty House”. This genre was tested and approved when Blaus won the Insomniac Discovery Project and were invited to play White Wonderland 2013. Following this success, the brothers kept building on the foundation of their creation by infusing rhythmical prose and live instrumentation to their electronic sound. Through a prolific cycle of writing, recording and touring, a human warmth echoed forth and a 6 song EP, 'The Tone', was born. This much anticipated release will be out on local Bay Area label Tricycle Records on August 5th , 2014.
