Description

On November 20, 2017, Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDoR) will be observed in the County of Santa Clara and around the world. Although this international annual day of observance is set aside to honor those who have lost their lives to acts of anti-transgender violence, it serves many purposes. It brings awareness to continued violence experienced by the transgender community. It gives everyone an opportunity to express love, support and respect for the transgender community. Also, TDoR reminds us of our interconnected struggle for justice and our resiliency as a larger community. Transgender people are our family, our co-workers and our friends.

The Memorial will be Monday, November 20, 2017.
This year it will be held at the Westminster Presbyterian Church (1100 Shasta Ave, San Jose, CA 95126) on the corner of Shasta Avenue and The Alameda in San Jose.
