Description
Train Days (September 20 & 21) -- two days of train-filled fun celebrating the joy and wonder of model railroading. Elaborate layouts, intricate scenery and scaled renditions of prototypes and whimsical engines and theme cars, complete with steam, lights and sound, will speed along rails to delight visitors of all ages. Private collectors and clubs will showcase and explain their American, European and Asian layouts, from garden gauge (Live Steamers and Diablo Pacific Short Line), O scale (Golden Gate Lionel Railroad Club), and in HO, the Swiss Narrow Gauge. In N-scale, Peninsula NTrak and AsiaNrail are returning, and will be joined by a Civil War's First Battle of Manassas/Bull Run. Also on board will be California Operation Lifesaver, providing education on proper rail safety, and gourmet food trucks. Admission is $5 for those 5 or older.
