During the nearly five years that Bersa Discos has been putting on parties each and every month in San Francisco, a whole lot of DJs have graced the Tormenta Tropical stage. Normally, we don't like to play favorites, but we have no shame in admitting that UPROOT ANDY is one of the DJs we always look forward to the most. It's been nearly a year since Andy last visited the Bay, so we're absolutely thrilled to welcome him back.For those who might be unfamiliar, UPROOT ANDY heads up the always popping Que Bajo?! parties in New York (alongside his partner Geko Jones). The man is constantly digging up amazing Latin rhythms (and riddims), and also crafts songs of his own that are, quite simply, the hottest tunes in the game. We released a few of his gems back on Bersa Discos #4, his remixes and tracks always get plenty of play, and we can't wait for whatever he cooks up next. Oh yeah, did we mention he's also any amazing DJ? UPROOT ANDY!
But that's not all. Two more homies will be trekking up from Los Angeles to hop inside the Tormenta Tropical DJ booth: PANAMAMI and CEE BROWN. These two selectors guide the dancefloor at Bodega, LA's premier Latin-flavored summertime jammy jam. They also haven't played at Tormenta since last year, so we're glad to welcome them back.
Last but certainly not least, resident DJ and Bersa co-founder ORO11 will be at the party with his usual assortment of fire, both behind the decks and on the mic. Shawn Reynaldo is unfortunately going to be out of the country on this night, but ORO11 is more than capable of holding things down for the Bersa familia.
