Description
Bersa Discos is a record label that began in Buenos Aires, Argentina and is now based in Los Angeles, California.Bersa is brought to you by Oro11 and Shawn Reynaldo, two Bay Area DJs who moved to Buenos Aires (separately) and found themselves swimming in a sea of underground and experimental cumbia. After hooking up in the Buenos Aires DJ circuit, the boys quickly realized that many of the local cumbia sounds were never being given a proper release. Bersa Discos was launched in 2007 to change all that. Since then, the label has grown beyond its Argentinian roots, taking in artists from around the globe while continuing to release upfront Latin and tropical sounds.
Besides the record label, Bersa Discos also puts on the monthly Tormenta Tropical party in San Francisco. The party occasionally makes appearances in Los Angeles and other cities throughout the world.
