Learn how to preserve your tomato crop, even if you bought them and didn’t grow them. At the height of the tomato season, techniques for canning and preserving including safety and recipes will be taught at Love Apple Farm. Recipes for tomato basil jam, spiced pepper salsa, golden tomato ketchup, curried tomato sauce, whole tomatoes in pepper reduction, tomato jelly, southwestern tomato and corn salsa and more will be featured in the four hour class. The cost is $95.
