Description
TheatreWorks Silicon Valley’s newest production, tokyo fish story focuses on the aesthetics of craftsmanship, tradition and the advent of radical change. Originally premiering at South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa, the play follows the aging but renowned sushi master, Koji, and his equally regarded Tokyo restaurant. But while he succeeds in his skill as a chef, he is bound by tradition and lacks business foresight. As the sushi industry and the vibe of Tokyo begin to change, Koji realizes he must adapt or fade into irrelevance. This witty, stylish and absorbing play runs through April 9. (TM)
