NOAH PRED
The entity known as Noah Pred arrived on Earth in 1979. Developing his skills through countless adventures between, this restless soul now finds himself based in the cultural nexus of modern Berlin.
Making the leap to Europe after five years fertilizing the extensive musical underground of Canada's multicultural metropolis, he comes deeply impacted by the unique influence of Toronto. Launching his Thoughtless imprint there over four years ago, the label is now well past its fiftieth release - Pred's acclaimed ERA ONE mix-CD - and has served to expose many potent talents from Canada and beyond.
Throwing the much-loved Thoughtless label parties was a natural evolution of numerous DJ residencies held by Pred in Vancouver, Montreal and in Toronto with the legendary Fukhouse crew. The past few years have seen Noah perform extensively throughout North America, delivering highly improvised sets that always strive to meet the moment head-on.
While past side projects have seen him working deep electro breaks and analog dub, contemporary strains of house and techno remain at the core of Pred's aesthetic. A versatile musician at heart (and a former bassist), his latest undercover experiments explore a futuristic interpretation of 2-step polyrhythms.
Recent releases on Cynosure, Regular and Siteholder have earned a renewed focus on his distinctive production style and extensive discography. With releases out now on Highgrade, Thoughtless and Trapez LTD coupled with his tireless approach that keeps him forever on the edge, 2012 looms large for Pred.

DAVE PEZZNER
In the 90’s, recording music as the much loved Jacob London (with Bob Hansen), releases on the legendary Classic Music Company, Doubledown and Dotbleep, earned Dave Pezzner a reputation well beyond his native west coast - cutting his chops by creating eccentric house and break beat rhythms like none other.
Deciding to go it alone as Pezzner, in 2008, allowed him to make his mark as a solo artist. It wasn't long before he found his initial offerings signed by the hugely well respected London-based deep house label Freerange. And so an exciting new phase in his career began; one that has exhibited no signs slowing down. The latter half of 2011 saw Pezzner’s singles for European buzz labels, 8 Bit and the Crosstown Rebels offshoot label RebelLION receive a massive response, garnering such praise as “future classics made for dancefloors in the here and now. “ from 5 Magazine. Sought-after as remixer, he has been called upon to reinterpret the works of Josh Wink, Groove Armada, and Underworld just to name a few.
Pezzner’s own work could be said to be more serious, with an abstract artistic sensibility, lofty percussive themes and intentions to create hypnotic soundscapes for the body as well as the brain. His ‘The Tracks Are Alive’ album on Freerange is a 13-track walk-through of his organic sounding style, in full dance-floor mode traversing with ease between disco, house and techno. Beatportal wax lyrical how it ‘blows like a cool breeze through the stale air of a market crowded with by-the-numbers deep house’ and Resident Advisor note the “rising, sizzling dub effects” of his ‘Blacklist’ release, adding ‘a steeliness to his refined contours’.
Featuring heaps of brand new productions, remixes and originals, his live set continues to take him to the far edges of the dance music map, reaching the heights of festival appearances including MUTEK in Montreal, Decibel Seattle, Sunrise Festival Tijuana, Balaton Sound Festival Hungary, and Rotofest in Ecuador.
Club shows abound not only in Europe, where he is now a regular touring act, Pezzner’s music has moved the dance floors of some of the most renowned venues including Space Ibiza, Rex Club in Paris, Turin’s Gamma Club, Trouw Amsterdam, Cielo New York, and Chicago’s famed Smartbar.

ARTHUR OSKAN
As a teenager, Arthur Oskan began immersing himself in a variety of musical styles. During this time he listened to and soaked in information about studio gurus like Georgio Moroder, Vince Clark and Alan Wilder, and industrial bands such as Nitzer Ebb, Cetu Javu, and Front 242. In his quest to quench his appetite for synthetic music he eventually purchased his own EPS Sampler, a TR-606 drum machine, a Roland JX3P and a 4-Track. These early years of training proved invaluable as they provided him with a solid foundation for his budding studio prowess.
By the mid-nineties, following a brief period producing for and performing with Toronto industrial and techno acts, he began recording a series of studio sessions under the pseudonym Auracle. Years later, these very same live studio sets were re-distributed and caught the attention of local event promoters. Armed with his growing collection of analog relics and a 24 channel mixing desk, Oskan dropped incredible sets for several underground events during this time. As time went on, he introduced a more percussive edge to his synthesizer lines and drum programming. By the end of the decade, he had found his place among a solid group of Toronto electronic music producers and DJs, and he was performing with both local and international talent alike.
Also exciting has been the acclaim given to his recent work by several of the world's top dj's and producers – Funk D'Void, Los Hermanos, Chymera, and Fabric Lig. His "Resolutions" EP topped Alan Oldham's chart for Tresor (Berlin), and his nine-minute long "Forever" as Myers Briggs, appeared on John Digweed's "Transmission Vol. 4". The track has been widely celebrated by James Holden, Nic Fanciulli, and Argentine great, Hernan Cattaneo. As one of Toronto's leading live acts, Oskan has performed alongside such international artists including Omar S, Troy Pierce, Heartthrob, Alex Under and Someone Else. He continues to perform live and produce music for several labels, and is now working with Fabric London's publishing arm to further grow his international exposure.
