Description

Couldn't make it to the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament in Brooklyn this year? Can't get enough crossword competition? Then come join other Bay Area crossword puzzle aficionados and enjoy a day of friendly competition to benefit the nonprofit California Dictionary Project, whose mission is to put a paperback dictionary into the hands of every California third grader.

Featuring three unpublished New York Times puzzles graciously donated by Will Shortz, as well as an original Sunday-sized puzzle created especially for the event by five-time ACPT champion Tyler Hinman

Saturday, September 11, 2010, 10:30am to 3:30pm at the Alameda High School Cafeteria, 2250 Central Avenue (between Walnut and Oak) (map), Alameda, California 94501

The Prizes
First prize: $100 cash
Second prize: $50 cash
Third prize: $25 cash

Registration: $25 if postmarked July 1 or later, $30 at the door
