Description
As one of its Centennial exhibitions, the California Art Club will present Then & Now: Artists Explore the Bay Area at the Thomas Reynolds Gallery.This exhibition spotlights nearly 40 works created by many of the state's premier contemporary-traditional artists who are members of the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of the historic arts organization. The display will provide a visual reminder of why millions enjoy living, working and vacationing in the Bay Area and will feature sweeping landscapes of the region's most beloved sites, as well as portraits and still-lifes.
To continue the legacy of the Club's early artists, who documented the Golden State's rich history with their artwork, many of the paintings in this exhibition will focus on preserved lands and historic districts, in order to create images for viewing by generations to come.
