Description
Whether you’re a new writer or a seasoned one, yoga and meditation can offer you tools that inspire creativity, help develop focus, address the physical demands of writing,and teach you to work with the emotional obstacles common to writers.In this introductory three-hour course, you will learn:
Yoga poses geared specifically toward writers;
How meditation can help us access deeper levels of consciousness that expand our ability to write creatively and
with clarity of vision;
How yogic texts directly address the emotional setbacks of writers (and all artists!), like doubt, fear, and judgment.
This workshop is great for writers of all levels of experience as it focuses on process, not product. There will be a mix of yoga, seated meditation, writing, and discussion. Please bring a notebook and something to write with. Visual artists are also welcome—bring your sketchbooks!
The main topic of focus for this module is writing into Darkness and Light.
