On March 9, Paly Theatre will be celebrating the IPO (Initial Performance Opportunity) of their new musical Venture written by Michael Najar and produced by Kathleen Woods. Join the excitement!Gender politics, the challenges of love and ambition, a tech dynasty, how does a young woman in Silicon Valley figure it all out? Venture is a modern love story that follows the path of one woman as she makes her way through the complex, cutthroat Silicon Valley tech culture while navigating her deepening relationship with her boyfriend. Finding balance proves difficult. Rivals seek to destroy her. Mentors teeter on the brink of their own destruction. Who can she trust? How does a young visionary woman find her future? What will she risk in order to change the world? Set in the world of Silicon Valley, Venture brings together the unlikely topics of love, patent infringement and female empowerment into toe-tapping melodies meant to provoke, inspire and uplift.
Audience members at the IPO (Initial Performance Opportunity) of Venture on March 9 are invited to stay after the performance to meet the production staff and performers and share a light dessert.
Performance dates: Fri Mar 9, Sat Mar 10, Fri Mar 16 & Sat Mar 17 at 7:30pm; Thurs Mar 15 at 4pm; and Sun Mar 18 at 2pm. Performances are at the Palo Alto High School Performing Arts Center, 50 Embarcadero Rd.
Tickets are $15.00 adults, $10.00 students/seniors. Reserved seating at https://www.palytheatre.com/tickets/. Box office opens one hour prior to curtain.
