Join us for an elegant ball in First Class set in 1912 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the last evening on RMS Titanic.

Bangers & Mash plays beautiful Edwardian waltzes, polkas, schottisches, set dances, and mixers, and the most sizzling ragtime hits of 1900 - 1912, including one-steps, two-steps, the newly popular tango, and, of course the traditional PEERS favorites "The Congress of Vienna Waltz," "The Bohemian National Polka," "Lancers," and "Sir Roger de Coverley." The band will also play numbers from the White Line's actual set list, including the haunting "Songe d'Automne," the last song played on the Titanic.

There will be a pre-ball dance workshop at 7pm focusing on the "new" dances of the 20th century, and, as usual, all set dances and mixers will be briefly taught and called. It is rumored that some of those charming passengers in steerage will make a guest appearance to perform for us and teach one of their own lively dances at intermission.

Suggested costume for First Class passengers is evening dress from 1900 - 1912 or modern evening dress. As always, however, costumes are admired but not required.

The White Star Line's splendid no-host bar will be open at the event and a complimentary light snack buffet will be served (Your potluck contributions to the Captain's kitchen would be most welcome).
