Description
The Temptations and the Four Tops pack a one-two punch of classic Motown this evening, as the two male-vocal groups collide to provide fans not only a history lesson in the fine art of vocal harmony, but also a testament to the strength of soul music heading into the future. After all, the Temptations’ chart-dominating repertoire continued to unfold well past the group’s “prime”, evidenced by the double platinum Phoenix Rising album in 1998. The follow up, Ear-Resistible, was the Temptation’s 57th album, and it ushered the group into the new millennium with typical Temptations flair. Though founder Otis Williams is sole surviving member of the original group, the Temptations continue to influence the R&B world with a timeless vocal style.
