Bassist, composer, arranger, producer, bandleader and film score composer, Stanley Clarke is one of the most celebrated bass players in the world. For over thirty years, Clarke has received virtually every honor - including a Grammy, seven Grammy nominations and three Emmy nominations. He was voted Best Bassist by Playboy for 10 consecutive years and is a member of Guitar Player's "Gallery of Greats." Known for his ferocious dexterity and consummate musicality, Clarke is a true pioneer in jazz and jazz fusion. He is responsible for changing the role of the electric and acoustic bass in the jazz world. He plays Yoshi’s San Francisco in support of his latest release The Stanley Clarke Band, which won a 2011 Grammy for Best Contemporary Album. Band members at this show are featured artists on the album.Lloyd Gregory is a consummate San Francisco jazz guitarist, whose new CD, Gentle Warrior, is currently climbing the Smooth Jazz Indy Chart and Radio Play Chart. Gentle Warrior was released on Stanley Clarke's Roxboro Entertainment Group label.
