The Spring Fling Dance

Last December, we saw San Francisco lookin' real sharp and dancin' real fierce when we partnered with Dusty Stax for the sold out Winter Formal Dance at The Verdi Club. Guests begged so loudly for a follow up that we're going for round two — so keep that fancy shoe polish handy.

That's right, on Saturday, March 24, The Bold Italic and Dusty Stax present Spring Fling, a celebration of soul and girl group hits performed by the supergroup Gold Star Band.

All your favorites will be back on the mic — Quinn DeVeaux, Noelle Cahill ( Magic Trick ), and Jen Snyder, backed by the Golden Girls as they croon out classics by Ike and Tina, Irma Thomas, and The Crystals, to name a few. Dick Vivian will be back behind the turntables with Sama from Rooky Ricardo's.

Ike's Place will be on site selling sandwich sustenance and Kanon Organic Vodka will provide ticketholders with a delicious complimentary cocktail concoction. And our ace photographer, Gabriel Wheeler , will be back to capture everyone in their gorgeous glory.

We strongly suggest grabbing tickets early. We had to turn people away at the door for the Winter Formal, and we want to make sure if you're dressed that nice you make it to the dancefloor.

As always, don’t stress about finding a date. You can show up stag or with friends ... just don’t forget your dancing shoes.

Dress Code: No denim will be permitted. For fellas: ties and collars are a must and leave those sneakers at home. Now is your chance to don that linen suit. Ladies: you know what to do and let’s see those spring colors.
