The Big Rock Show brings a night of local music to The Art Bouitki.San Jose's own indie rock/pop/ska band The Spliffs is headlining the Big Rock Show with Taylor Barnes on vocals and guitar, Tyler Page on lead guitar, Auston R. on bass, and Jackson Short on drums and vocals.
Alternative rock/indie group Walking Spanish hails from Sacramento where acclaimed singer-songwriter Alexander Nelson established Walking Spanish as the band's frontman. Nelson is joined by Timother Picchi on bass guitar, Patrick Picchi on drums and percussion, Christopher Haislet on keyboards and accordion, and Tom Gunterman on violin.
San Francisco's The Moonlight Orchestra "orbits around a multifaceted array of musical influences that spring from a blues inferno within a psychedelic cascade and on the the chaotic senses of experimentalism and a bit of frenzy." The five-piece group is currently working on their soon to be released 6-track EP, but are looking forward to performing soma old favorites as well.
San Jose's Animal Lore is a four-piece indie band consisted of Joseph Chloe, Ben Truong, Nick Troughton, and Thomas Arballo. As described by sanjose.com's Aaron Carnes, "The light shuffling drumbeat of Animal Lore's mellow jangle-pop sound is a cozy backdrop for the best part - the singing guitars… when those guitars come in and take over, they really brighten the place up."
All ages. Tickets are $10 at the door.
