Description
Experience three non-stop days of in-depth concentration that will transform your understanding of drawing the figure. Formulaic preconceptions of figure drawing will give way to the vital potentials of visual energy, space, and the individual quest for form and expression. The constant activity of working with both small and large formats, with different media, and from fleeting and fixed poses will dramatically advance understanding of the figure as a vital art form. Revealing the energy inherent in gesture, mass and movement within the boundaries of the paper will accelerate participants' sense of scale and limits. The role of observation, imagination and their meaning to the individual will be encountered and challenged in the creation of meaningful visual metaphor. Models will be present throughout.3-days: January 18th to 20th
