Description
The Saw Doctors came together in the small western Irish Galway county of Tuam, in 1987, with the pairing of Davy Carton and Leo Moran. They took the West of Ireland by storm and formed an allegiance with Mike Scott of the Waterboys who saw them in Galway and liked what he saw enough to ask them to support his band on their next UK tour. In 1989, their hit single "I Useta Love Her" virtually became the country’s second national anthem as it stayed at the top of the charts for countless weeks and became one of the biggest selling singles of all time in Ireland. Over the next two decades, the band has released numerous albums, continued to tour, and has never looked back.
