The Blind Cafe seeks to build and strengthen relationships in the community. Our mission is sustain an organization that supports and creates a deeper understanding of community, that inspires people to think differently and re-look at how they relate with themselves and others. To partner with organizations and business's to provide community awareness and entertainment for the community. To provide a unique opportunity for the blind and sighted parts of our community to come together in discussion. To develop a deeper sense of appreciation and compassion for people unlike ourselves. To re-teach people how to listen to live music and themselves again with the distraction of cell phones, social etiquette and visual conditioning. To deliver unique and inspiring experiences in the pitch dark nationally and internationally.

Using the concept of darkness, we create innovative and imaginative events to challenge and to inspire people to become more of themselves. We are passionate about discovering new perspectives and innovating new ways of experiencing the world around us, and we want to share this with you. To establish The Blind Café as a financially & emotionally sustainable organization.

The Blind Cafe is a fiscally sponsored organization under the 501(c)3 of The Boulder County Arts Alliance. A Boulder, Colorado-based organization, we deliver unique and inspiring experiences in the pitch dark nationally and internationally. We are a group of inspired artists, volunteers, musicians & social entrepreneurs, sighted and blind, working together to strengthen community and create positive social change via the Arts & Business.
