Luis Medina
For over 30 years, DJ Luis Medina has broadcast salsa, Latin jazz, and Afro-Cuban music around the Bay Area. Since 2001, Luis has served as the Music Director at KPFA 94.1 FM in Berkeley. He is the producer and host of the popular weekly show, Con Sabor, which has been on KPFA Saturday evenings for the last 15 years. Luis has also served as Entertainment Director for SF Carnaval for many years and is an in-demand MC.

A well-respected live DJ, Luis has shared concert and festival bills with artists like Eddie Palmieri, Los Van Van, Spanish Harlem Orchestra, Issac Delgado, Jimmy Bosch’s All Stars, and many others. By special invitation, he DJed at the prestigious Tempo Latino Latin Music Festival in France in 2010. Luis has received numerous awards including the Certificates of Honor from the City and County of San Francisco and the California State Assembly.
