Stanford Theater is proud to present another double feature of classic films.

In The Quiet Man, Sean Thornton returns from America to reclaim escape his past. Mary Kate Danaher, a beautiful girl and younger sister of ill-tempered "Red" Will Danaher takes in interest in Thornton. Their forbidden love becomes complicated not only with Danaher trying to keep them apart, but when Thornton's past life begins to unfold.

In Sitting Pretty, it stars Robert Young and Maureen O'Hara as Tacey and Harry King, a suburban couple with three sons and a desperate need for a babysitter. Tacey puts an ad up in the paper for a live-in babysitter which is answered by Lynn Belvedere. But when she arrives, she turns out to be not only an eccentric genius which much wisdom from past experiences, but also a man. Mr. Belvedere works well with the children but the Kings are unaware of what he does on his nights off. When Harry leaves for a business trip, rumors begin to pile on but things turn out alright in the end thanks to Mr. Belvedere.
