Description
The Practice of Wisdomby Venerable Steve Carlier
May 13 - July 29
Thursdays, 7 - 9:15pm
To fully develop as a person, just being warm-hearted and kind is not enough. We also need wisdom. Without wisdom, you may mean well, but you may at the same time do a lot of damage. There are all sorts of wisdom, and the main one, the one we need to find real inner peace is the wisdom which is fully aware of the deep nature of the reality of ourselves, our own minds, and of the world we live in. Here we shall be looking at Shantideva's Wisdom Chapter of the Guide to the Bodhisattva's Way of Life in order to help us open our minds up into that reality.
The text for this class is "A Guide to the Bodhisattva Way of Life" by Vesna Wallace and Alan Wallace, published by Snow Lion publications.
This course is part of the FPMT Basic Program (intermediate level study program) and is the continuation of a series of courses in which the entire Guide to the Bodhisattva's Way of Life is being studied.
