The Park Chalet Hosts Oktoberfest Celebration on Sunday, October 12The Park Chalet Garden Restaurant located in Golden Gate Park hosts an Oktoberfest celebration on Sunday, October 12. There will be free live musical entertainment from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. by Blow Musik!, a traditional German "oompah" band. Guests will also be able to purchase a liter (34 fl oz) sized Ocean Beach Oktoberfest decorative souvenir beer stein filled with ale ($17.00/$11.00 for a refill; drink the ale, keep the stein).
Chalet Master Brewer Aron Deorsey has brewed a specialty Ocean Beach Oktoberfest ale, a German Oktoberfest style beer, amber in color and well balanced between malt sweetness and hop bitterness (5.4% abv/25 IBUs).
Complementing the musical entertainment and the specialty ale will be the availability of Park Chalet sausages made from scratch. Servers dressed up as Bavarian barmaids will add to the festivities, and there will be no cover charge for the musical entertainment.
