Over the past decade Brazil has joined the world stage as both an economic powerhouse and a cultural center, and with the approaching World Cup and Olympics, it will again find itself in the spotlight. How has this international attention and economic growth changed Brazil’s perception of itself? Deputy Consul General Juliano Alves Pinto will discuss Brazil’s evolving social dynamic, the social and economic impact of recent economic growth and what to expect from the upcoming World Cup and Olympics.

The program will be followed by a cultural reception, including Brazilian food and a performance by a local Brazilian dancers.
