Description
Buddhist psychology teaches that our difficulties in life arise from a misunderstanding and, thus, misapprehension of reality. This misapprehension causes us to create the myths of our lives that sabotage our well being; myths like:* We see things as permanent when they are not
* We see things as causing happiness when they do not
* We act as if life will go on forever when it does not.
Holding on to these beliefs as true when they are in fact not is the direct cause of anger, fear, disappointment and other emotions which sabotage our lives. This class will attempt to show these myths we live by as they really are.
The teacher, Karuna Cayton, author of "The Misleading Mind" has studied Buddhism for over 30 years and is a clinical psychologist.
