(((folkYEAH!))) presents a double bill with The Mother Hips and Birdhouse at Don Quixote's International Music Hall. The Mother Hips is an indie alternative folk-rock band that formed in 1990, releasing their first album Back to the Grotto in 1993. After several critically acclaimed albums, The Mother Hips gained widespread exposure in 2007 when their track "Time We Had" from their album Kiss the Crystal Flake was featured in the game, Rock Band. Birdhouse is well-known around the local live music scene for their sophisticated arrangements of jazz, rock and country tunes, adding up to a set of familiar melodies with a fresh touch.
