Description
If you told members of The Monkees in 1966 that nearly 50 years later the world's top songwriters would still be writing music for them, celebrating their unique blend of rock and corporate-engineered pop, Davey Jones might cry. Unfortunately he passed away in 2012. But the surviving members—Michael Nesmith, Mickey Dolenz and Peter Tork are still going strong. This is evidenced by The Monkees newest album "Good Times," a 50-year retrospective with previously unreleased songs and vocals, and a new cadre of music written for them by the likes Rivers Cuomo and Ben Gibbard. Listen to the new album with fellow Monkees fans at this event.
