WHAT: The Jupiter String Quartet
The members of The Jupiter String Quartet believe that chamber music, because of the intensity of its interplay and communication, is one of the most effective ways of spreading an enthusiasm for "classical" music to new audiences. The Boston based quartet brings that enthusiasm to Marin County on Jan. 22 when they perform in concert for the Mill Valley Chamber Music Society with a program featuring Beethoven Op.74, Bartok No. 6 and Mendelssohn Op.44 No. 1.
