Galería de la Raza is proud to announce The Jotos and Homeboys Project, a performance incubator project for Queer Latino/Xicano performers that seeks to workshop and develop new performance works that mix text, movement and multimedia. As part of the project, Galería de la Raza – San Francisco's interdisciplinary art space for Chicano-Latino art, thought, and activism – has provided selected participants with rehearsal space, technical advisement and artist mentorship under a process that will create three new performance pieces by some of the Bay Area’s most promising performers including San José poet and slam champ, Yosimar Reyes, San Francisco based dancer/choreographer, Jorge De Hoyos and the Oakland hybrid performance trio, nosJOTrOS.
