Description
The Invaders will be debuting at the Red Poppy on June 27th. While all seasoned veterans of the Bay Area Music scene, this is a brand new project featuring Mitch Marcus on piano and compositions, George Ban-Weiss on the upright bass, and Jeff Marrs on drums. The music brings together a number of elements seamlessly creating what is a unique sound with the ol’ standard “piano trio” instrumentation. The Invaders play through-composed melodies intertwined with free improvisation all the while swingin’, rockin’ and playing mixed meter grooves with intensity and dynamic group interplay.Mitch Marcus - piano/saxophone
