On Saturday evening, March 1, PEERS presents the Gotham City Black and White Ball – hosted by Gotham City's most eligible bachelor – at the San Mateo Masonic Lodge Ballroom at 100 N. Ellsworth in San Mateo. After a vintage swing and fox trot lesson at 7pm, Sara & Swingtime plays an evening of classic Swing, waltzes, and elegant vintage ballroom dance music . Event includes a no-host bar, a complimentary light snack buffet, and theatrical performances. Vintage or modern evening dress is admired, but not required. Join Gotham City's most popular host and most eligible bachelor at his stately mansion for the social event of the season - the Gotham City Black and White Ball.

Vintage or modern evening dress is admired, not required; black and white attire is optional. Guests may also attend as a superhero, heroine, or villain in disguise and incognito. In other words, this is not a superhero costume ball. Remember that you are at the ball as Mr. Bruce Wayne's guests (or are trying to crash the ball by posing as one of Mr. Wayne's guests!). You don't want to reveal your secret identity at a ball where Commissioner Gordon of the Gotham City Police Department is one of the guests!

However, accessories that suggest your true identity will definitely be admired.

Sara and Swingtime - Gotham City's most fashionable band - plays an evening of elegant vintage ballroom dance music (waltzes, tangos, fox trots, Blues, Latin, etc.) and hot Swing of the 1920's, 30's and 40's in keeping with the Film Noir ambience of the city! Sara's special musical guest is Lee Presson as The Joker.

For guests wishing to brush up on their vintage Swing and fox trot, there will be a pre-ball dance lesson from 7:00 to 8:00pm.

There will be a no-host (cash) bar and a light snack buffet, and potluck contributions to the butler's pantry would be greatly appreciated (Please drop off your contributions at Alfred's kitchen).

To order advance tickets to the ball, please send a check for $15.00 each to PEERS at 2144 B Buena Vista Avenue, Alameda, CA 94501.
