Description
The Frenzys return to the Art Boutiki to release their new, 11-song album titled "Cult Classic." The tight, high-energy garage funk trio--who just graduated high school--features bluesy, speedy guitar riffs by Riley Wilkins, thumping, funky bass lines by Trevor O'Loughlin, and powerful, driving drum beats from Jeffrey Olson. Having released their first album, simply titled "Yo" in September 2014, the trio works to incorporate a variety of different genres into their songs, including ska, jazz, hip hop, and punk, in a Minutemen meets Operation Ivy meets James Brown sort of way. But beyond their music, The Frenzys give a soulful, heartfelt performance completed by quirky personalities, playful banter, and shameless awkward dancing which gets the crowd grooving along.Joining them for the night will be singer-songwriters Remi and Chloe backed by their band with new originals of their own. The two girls, known for their complex harmonies and rock groove roots, have been on a hiatus since last summer, but are returning full force for their first Art Boutiki show in about a year.
Also making their Art Boutiki debut will be The Riekestra and The Imperialist.
