After four successful seasons at home in San Francisco and a sold-out debut run of four performances in New York City in December, The Flow Show’s unusual, fun and diverse mix of contemporary dance and flow arts returns to San Francisco for three performances only April 5-7. The Fifth Annual Flow Show/San Francisco will feature award-winning performers on hoops, juggling, Maori poi and other forms of movement with unique props with a culturally-based but decidedly contemporary spin.In five years, The Flow Show has grown in scope, expertise and following and has established the flow arts as a dynamic and popular genre-defying performance experience. An eagerly anticipated annual event, The Flow Show has an avid and growing audience for its dynamic balance between the alternative, experimental and the popular. The Flow Show audience is a devoted mix that runs the gamut from Burning Man attendees and fire dancing aficionados to ballet and modern dance goers. This year adds a new “prop” to the mix: the diabolo or “Chinese yo-yo”.
