Description
The Entrance Band is a psychedelic pop band from Los Angeles, taking the heavier '60s era psych of bands like Can and Black Sabbath and giving it a theatrical, occasionally melodramatic flair. With churning bass lines and fuzzy guitar licks they strike a balance between the dark and brooding and presentational showtunes. Joining The Entrance Band is Jacco Gardner—a musician from the Netherlands who plays a mix of neo-psychedelica, baroque pop and chamber music. Gardner uses psychedelic music to back highly visual lyrics, which deal with themes of romance and drama, giving his music a theatrical aesthetic similar to The Entrance Band. The show is the third and final in a series of musical showcases by “boutique,” psych-oriented promoter (((folkYEAH!))).
