Description
Film Screening to Benefit the Tsogyal Latso Nuns of Tibet Sky Dancer Dir: Jody Kemmerer, Tibet 45 mins As inside look at the daily life and journey of Khandroma Kunzang Wangmo, an extraordinary woman who is a living example of wisdom and compassion in a world that so often seems to be lacking genuine examples of both. One of Tibetan Buddhism's great female masters, this matriarch and spiritual leader of a remote area on the Tibetan plateau is one of very few women ever to receive a position of power in Tibetan Buddhism. Even more rare, she is the descendant of two extremely significant and highly respected masters of Tibetan Buddhism. In the Minds of All Beings Dir: Sarah Abbott, Tibet 21 mins This film take us to the 8th century birthplace of Khandro Yeshe Tsogyal, the founding mother of Tibetan Buddhism and the greatest enlightened woman in Tibet. Blending legend and history, this film recounts an ancient story and shows how the wisdom and blessings of Yeshe Tsogyal have continued to the present and guides us through sacred landscapes ~ a self-arisen visionary lake, healing springs and winter blooming flowers, and a vigorous life-force sandal wood tree dating back to her birth. It also documents a community of nuns who arrived there after the Cultural Revolution to care for this revered place of the sacred feminine.https://www.facebook.com/jnanasukha http://www.tsogyal-latso-film.com http://www.jnanasukha.orgMore Info
