Description
The Legendary Shack Shakers earned their rap as one of the most blistering roots bands around, but when frontman J.D. Wilkes got bored of just shaking the shack, he started daubing the dirt, too. The DD's old-time sound is a mix of punk energy and all the clanking, maniacal acoustic strumming and hollerin' that spooky bluegrass bands had, or at least should have had, back in the day. It's a combination that might confuse the uninitiated, but fans around here will need no introduction thanks to area bands like the Devil Makes Three and the Shitkickers (who will also perform).
