Description
The Santa Cruz Chamber Players presents the seventh concert of its 2011/2012 season. Entitled "The Democratic Muse: Bernstein And His Contemporaries," this program feature the works of Bernstein, Copland, Creston, Foss, and Gershwin for a wonderfully diverse concert as it explores the influences of pop, Broadway, folk and jazz idioms on American classical music of the 20th century. Several soloists will be joining the orchestra: Michelle Witt on violin, Kristin Garbeff on cello and Mary Jane Cope on piano.
