The Coast Guard Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to the education, welfare and morale of all Coast Guard members and their families, will host its Annual Pacific Area Awards Dinner, a tribute to the United States Coast Guard, will take place on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 in San Francisco. In conjunction with the Coast Guard Foundation’s 40th anniversary celebration of service to the United States Coast Guard, the gala will honor the heroic efforts of Coast Guard men and women in the Pacific area over the past year. In addition to recognizing the guardians who enforce maritime law, protect our homeland and preserve the environment, the event will raise funds to support the Coast Guard Foundation’s important projects and programs that seek to improve the lives and performance of Coast Guard members, their families and Coast Guard Academy cadets.
