CLIFT San Francisco is pleased to invite all music fiends to CLIFT Sessions, a series of special musical performances in a unique intimate setting. On Thursday, May 24th, Clift's Redwood Room will welcome LA based music producer Henry Laufer, better known as Shlohmo, a lo-fi beat junkie of abstract experimental trip-hop. Laufer’s most recent release, Vacation EP is a soft and pseudo-naturalistic cinematic vision of melody. Having made beats since he was 14, the young artist claims Amon Tobin, DJ Shadow, Flying Lotus and M83 as his main influences. With a homegrown community feel, Laufer is also co-founder of the niche online publication, WEDIDIT Collective and is signed to the label, Friends of Friends. Known for his distorted psychedelic mix of breezy synth-funk, Shlohmo will bring his off-kilter sounds to San Francisco. The exclusive Redwood Room and recently revamped Velvet Room at Clift will continue to play host to some of the most talked about new names on the music circuit, while hotel guests and locals alike can enjoy cocktails and an invitingly warm ambiance.
